Many people have a strong desire to discover new places and experience new things, but how can they save while on vacation? The price of fuel is constantly rising, as does the price of plane tickets, a hotel stay or even a trip to the restaurant. And this happens not only when you decide to travel abroad, but also in those cases where you decide to use the holidays to get to know our own country better. The objective is then to manage the travel budget in a more efficient way to make the most of the holidays. And with a few tips and a big chunk of common sense, we can all spend less money while on vacation.
This was precisely the reason why Auto Europe held a raffle on its Facebook page . Our main goal was to ask our fans to share their tips on how to save during the holidays as there is nothing better than own experience and sharing ideas to learn more about this topic and put the learning into practice now on your next trip!
Car hire with Auto Europe
And the tips we received were very interesting! We are sure that these suggestions will help all our customers to make the most of their vacation, while staying within the budget set for your trip. With over 60 years of experience in the rent a car market, Auto Europe's offers are the lowest in the market, but according to participants, there are still many euros to save on accommodation, food, plane tickets and in tickets to museums and other tourist attractions, among others. So, enjoy this article to discover the best tips on how to save during your next vacation and keep reading!
Save on tickets to museums and other tourist attractions
Firstly, we would like to thank all those who participated in another Auto Europe competition and congratulate our great winner, Rita Amorim, who left us the following suggestion: "Take advantage of the free days of museums and other attractions: )". An easy way to save a few euros while on holiday is to make the most of everything the city has to offer. Do an online search of your holiday destination's museums and other tourist attractions and find out if they have a free day (Sundays are usually one of those days), discounts for certain types of tickets or discounts for online ticket purchasers such as as Diana Santos suggests: "buying tickets for tourist attractions/museums online and in advance is generally cheaper". Aldina Martins also suggests "
book in advance
The most repeated tip among participants in our draw was to book in advance, as Aldina Martins tells us: "Make reservations in advance". This really can be one of the best savings tips for a relaxed and stress-free vacation, as Fernanda Lopes confirms: "I like to think about everything with time, calm down so there's no bad luck and get there and relax." Célia Amador also leaves the same tip: "I look for the best opportunities in advance" and Nivalda Hamilton agrees: "The strategy is to plan and buy tickets and accommodation a few months in advance".
Book low season
Another way to save on the price of plane tickets and accommodation, for example, is when traveling in low season, as Manuel Rodrigues Fernandes suggests: "Low season is always cheaper". Indeed, many tourist companies apply different prices in high and low season, so this is a good option if you don't have children in school yet. Enjoy!
travel low cost
Another saving tip that is increasingly in fashion is to travel low cost, as Diana Santos suggests: "Traveling on low cost flights only with a cabin suitcase". Doing an online search for low cost airlines that fly to your next holiday destination may be the best way to find a low-price airline ticket, whatever your travel destination .
Compare offers
Marisa Lopes Rocha gives us the tip to search to find the best offer in rhyme form and because everything that rhymes sounds better here it is: "Search many before booking, to make sure I'm buying the best ;)". Filipe Rocha also believes that comparing offers and selecting the best one is a good tip to save a few euros on vacation: "See prices at hotels and travel agencies and enjoy the best". So don't be dazzled by the first offer you see! Instead, research with time, compare and select the best option for you!
Accommodation and food
We hope that these savings tips will be useful to you and that you will put your favorites into practice while planning your next trip. Once again, we would like to thank all those who participated in another Auto Europe draw and, if you weren't the lucky recipient of an Amazon voucher, don't worry! We'll have more competitions coming soon so you can be in with a chance of winning big prizes with Auto Europe. Don't forget to visit our social networks: Facebook , Twitter and Instagram . See you there!
